life in switzerland

Sudenly I realized this is already my 3rd week here! wow time flies here! Last monday my first IBM lessons started, the management subjects seam to be ok...but I will tell you after the exams in january;-)
yesterday I had my first spanisch lessons, and the funny thing was...the teacher doesnt speak any english, only german and spanish! Fortunatly the other students were able to translate the german into engllish for us...but that makes it not easy to learn a new language, since my mother tongue is still dutch, thats 4 languages at the same time...a little bit confusing sometimes!
Last week somebody told me that you also nead a Vignet on your bike (like the autobahn vignet) so first I was laughing and said; yeah sure! but today somebody else said the same...so I went to the postoffice to ask, and its true! Here in Switzerland you need a Vignet on your bike! ok it only costs 7 francs...but still its crazy!!
Tonight we have a drink with all exchange students in Basel, in one of the highest buildings of Basel! Oh here is a picture of the house I live in..

first week

first week didnt start really good, ofcourse I went for some padlling on my first day in switserland. I went to bremgarten with my car, all without any problems, I paddled for about 2 hours with Ramona and when I came back there was oil under my car. So I called the ANWB and they sended someone from TCS, it turned out to be a small switch that was broken, easy to fix but the TCS guy didnt have a new switch. So we brought my car to the nearest garage. Fortunatly Ramona offered me to stay at her place! the next day I went by train to Basel for my first day at the Fachhochschule, and I was perfectly on time! First days at the fachhochschule was just getiing to meet the other students and the city, it was fun! The other students are all really nice people from all over europe. Today I am going to pick up my car in Bremgarten and than I will finnally have all my stuff!
This weekend there will be a small competition at Bremgarten, I think I will compete there!
This week I also managed to get internet connection! Here in switserland its only 25 euro's a month for unlimeted mobile internet! And I also signed up for a swiss bank acount and I have a real swiss Auslandersausweis!
Well my train is about to arive in bremgarten so I got to go now, more next week!

My first car!!

heya!

I finnally have my own car! a Daihatsu Cuore! its 4 months older than me but still drives pretty well. This car will bring me to Switserland (I hope!)
